Infiniti family expands in 2012
The foursome includes the 2013 IPL G Convertible, the Infiniti Etherea Concept, the 2013 Infiniti JX Crossover and the record-smashing Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car, sponsored by Infiniti.
The Infiniti JX which will be in our Miami Infiniti showroom this spring is heavy with cutting edge tech. It debuts Infiniti's new Backup Collision Intervention System, the latest advanced safety and security and helps the driver detect crossing vehicles and objects behind the JX when in reverse, and will even automatically engage the brakes if there will be a collision. Miami will be excited to hear the Infiniti JX is a fresh alternative to the currently bland luxury crossover segment offerings, thanks to interior flexibility, generous room and advanced hospitality features. A true 3-row vehicle, the Infiniti JX offers all the premium features, performance and innovation Miami has come to expect from the brand.
The Infiniti IPL G Convertible, the 2nd Infiniti to undergo the IPL treatment, unleashes performance from a top-down, wide-open perspective. Also scheduled for a spring release in Miami, the IPL G Convertible has more horsepower, more torque, and is available with an electronically controlled 7-speed auto transmission with Downshift Rev Matching, paddle shifters and an IPL-tuned suspension and Sport Brakes. Exclusive colors and grille modifications, and red-stitched leather-appointed sport seats further distinguish the Infiniti IPL G Convertible.
The Etherea Concept also made an appearance, and is a re-imagining of the compact luxury car for a discerning new generation of younger buyers. It infuses no-compromise hybrid power with maximum driving pleasure, creating a bold new perspective on the premium compact segment. More coupe than hatchback, the Etherea still boasts many of the design features of the original Infiniti Essence concept supercar.
Last, Infiniti showcased the Red Bull Racing F1 car, the very same that was part of the winning force of the world's most competitive racing circuit. The Red Bull Team, sponsored by Infiniti, dominated the 2011 F1 season with 12 of 19 Grand Prix wins and 24 wins in the last 41 races - an extraordinary record of consistency and speed.
